We only collect personal data that are relevant and are limited to the extent necessary.
The personal data to which we have access is necessary to provide you with effective customer service, license management, dispute management (refunds) and timely information about the product you have purchased.
Generally, this information includes name, email address, type and date of purchase, license type and activation information, as well as communications with our support team, session metadata.
We generally store data for 90 days. We may waive this 90-day time limit in certain cases, specifically, but not limited to, for data collected in connection with ongoing complaint handling or for data needed to correct a malfunction during the time of the correction. Griff Gate Ltd. never access or store sensitive payment information such as your credit card number.
We only collect personal data for our customers' services. We only collect personal data if you purchase a ChimeraTool license, open a ticket or actively subscribe to our newsletter.
In accordance with the needs of all our current and prospective customers, we may use your information completely anonymously for product development opportunities, internal statistics relevant to customer satisfaction (such as general trends or preferences), general development of our products and services, and other business-related traffic information. Upon request, you may – at any time – have access to your personal data, in particular to view, update or delete them. To do this, please send us your request electronically.
Unless otherwise required by law or legal order, personal data will not be disclosed to any third parties other than the partners identified below and will only be disclosed for the purposes set out above.
The web browser and the servers of ChimeraTool, as well as all the communications between our software products and servers are protected by high-level SSL encryption. Beyond that, only employees directly involved in customer service and analysis have access to your personal data. You acknowledge and accept that Griff Gate Ltd. shall not be liable for any direct or indirect damage resulting from events such as, but not limited to, malicious third-party intervention or any technical failure.
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small packet of information that is sent to your browser and stored on your computer's hard drive. Cookies are widely used to store user preferences, track sales and perform anonymous analysis. They are also required during the login and identification processes.
What cookies exactly are set?
The chimeratool.com directly sets some cookies for supporting the basic features:
Name of the cookie
It stores the token value required for identification in the ChimeraTool chat.

The ID of the admin session logged in on the backend. - I do not think this should be listed because it only affects us internals.
A cookie storing security token for POST method forms (to identify that the POST is actually coming from inside the page).
The token for the identification of the logged in user for the Chimera backend API.
A cookie indicating the completion of user forms.
A cookie that identifies a server-side PHP session.
A cookie that stores the last language set.
A cookie indicating acceptance of a cookie consent strip.
It stores the appearance of the layer presenting the new chimeratool (so that it does not appear for the user more than once).
It stores the on/off state of the panel implementing the push notification subscription.
It indicates that the user has already voted on the usefulness of the document on the given help page.
It indicates that the given info line in the header has been closed by the user (e.g.: maintenance notifications etc.).
It stores the last status of the chat panel (open or closed).
Google Analytics is a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (‘Google’). We use the anonymised data collected to analyse the use of the website and improve our content and user experience accordingly. By using our websites, you consent to the transfer of your data by Google to servers in the United States. Google Analytics does not identify users and your IP address will not be associated with other data held by Google.

Once you have purchased a license for one of our products, you will be automatically subscribed to our mailing list and we will keep you informed of important updates for the product you have purchased. It is essential to communicate with our users about new features or the discontinuation of a particular feature. You can of course unsubscribe at any time: all the emails we send you include an Unsubscribe button. We will never forward your email address to third parties for marketing purposes.
Application crash reports are sent up to our servers without individual data so that we can study them and make fixes.
