What is EDL mode?

Qualcomm Emergency Download mode, commonly known as EDL mode is a low-level interface for devices equipped with Qualcomm SoCs. This mode is similar to EUB mode, which is available for Exynos SoCs. EDL mode is not limited to any brand, any device with Qualcomm chipset can boot into this mode.

How can I connect my Qualcomm device in EDL mode?

Since Qualcomm chipsets are widely used within the industry by a lot of manufacturers there is no generic answer to this question. On most Samsung, and Xiaomi devices testpoints must be used.
