Patch Cert procedure - instructions and what to do if IMEI status is reported as NG after successful procedure.

We are happy to notice that Chimera Tool's Patch Cert procedure is popular among you, fellow Chimera users!

We have made improvements to our Patch certificate/network methods recently and now it has higher success rate - but also in some cases, you need to take further steps to successfully patch your device.

In this unfavored situation when the IMEI status is "NG", you can fix the device with the following steps:

1. Run Factory Reset on your device.

2. Download and flash a new firmware on your device. Make sure you use firmware that is compatible with your device, otherwise, it may not boot up.

3. Root your device using Chimera's Auto Root feature or Magisk v25.2 or higher.

4. Run the Patch Cert procedure again.

We are continuously monitoring our procedures and will make further improvements where it's possible. Let us know if this method helps, we wish you many successful device repairs using Chimera Tool!
