Operation of Patch Cert, and a possible workaround if not successful:

As a rule when using the ‘Patch Cert’ process, you just need to wait and watch the signal strength indicator when the phone starts after the ‘patch cert’ process. About 30-90 seconds after the start, a change needs to happen: there is signal reception -> no signal -> there is signal reception again. This shift takes 5 to 6 seconds at most. If this change does not happen after two minutes, the process could not finish properly. In such cases, the phone will usually restart automatically, so that the process can try again. The number of restarts is limited to prevent a boot loop.

If it fails after several attempts, you will need to try another firmware, so the correct order is:

  1. New firmware installation
  2. Rooting
  3. Repair IMEI
  4. Patchcert
