How to solve the modem problem with the Android Lollipop

This document created at Sep 14, 2016, 3:05:27 PM and modified at Mar 7, 2024, 12:08:26 PM.

As you might know, there is a small problem with the 5.0 Android versions but only with 5.0. With this version there is no possibility to enable the recovery mode, so we must use a small trick. Often there is no communication allowed with the modem.

In order to handle this small problem, you only need to use the following steps:

  1. On your phone's start screen please Enter main menu, choose Settings.
  2. In the settings please choose the "About Device" section and click on Software updates.
  3. Please click on the "Update Now" button and let the phone update your firmware to the 5.0.1. or 5.0.2. Android version.
  4. Once this is done please enter the recovery mode and choose the "CP logging" option as the picture below shows. You can navigate with the Volume button and choose with the Power button.
  5. Or if you would like to have a more simple method, use ChimeraTool for the Firmware update (SW Change).
Enable CP

After the Device restarts, it is possible to use *#0808# settings as usual.

Of course if you get stuck, please do not hesitate to contact our support team and ask for their help.
