In this document, we will introduce you ABD mode.

What is ADB mode?

ADB mode, or Android Debug Bridge mode, is a feature of Android devices that allows for advanced interaction between the device and a computer. By enabling ADB mode, users can connect their Android device to a computer via USB and use Chimera to perform various tasks. This mode is particularly useful for users who need to troubleshoot or customize their devices beyond what’s possible through the standard user interface. To use ADB, users typically need to enable Developer Options on their devices and activate USB debugging.

How can I connect my device in ADB mode?

Enable Developer Options

  •     Go to Settings on your device.
  •     Scroll down and tap on About phone.
  •     Find Software information and tap it.

  •     Find Build number (MIUI version- in case of Xiaomi devices) and tap it multiple times (usually 7 times) until you see a message saying "You are now a developer!"
  •     You may be prompted to enter your PIN or password to confirm.

Enable USB Debugging

  •     Go back to the main Settings menu.
  •     Scroll down and tap on System & updates / Additional settings / Developer options .
  •     Scroll down to USB debugging and toggle it on.
  •     Confirm enabling USB debugging when prompted.

Authorize USB Debugging

  •     When you connect the device, a prompt should appear on your phone asking to allow USB debugging from the computer.
  •     Tap Allow, and optionally check the box for “Always allow from this computer” if you don't want to be prompted each time.

What can I do in ADB mode?

You can use the Get info procedure to retrieve essential details about your phone, such as its model number, firmware version, and other system information. This is useful for verifying the current status and specifications of your device.

For devices locked in retail mode—a restricted setting used in stores for display purposes—you can use the Samsung Demo Remove option. This feature disables the retail restrictions, allowing you to return the device to its normal operating state for personal use.

The IMEI Repair* function is available on Samsung, Huawei, Vivo or LG devices. If your device's IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) number has been corrupted or damaged. The IMEI is a unique identifier critical for connecting to mobile networks, and this feature helps to restore it.

If you need to switch your device to a different carrier's settings, you can use the Samsung CSC Change option. CSC (Country/Carrier Specific Code) defines the region and carrier settings on your device, and changing it can help optimize performance for a specific carrier.

The Samsung Read Codes feature allows you to retrieve important unlock codes for your device, which may be necessary to unlock the phone from a specific network or recover other access-related codes.

Before proceeding with any of these advanced operations, it's highly recommended to use the Store/Restore Backup feature. This tool lets you create a backup of your current settings and configurations, so you can easily restore them if anything goes wrong during the process. This precaution helps protect against potential data loss or unwanted changes.

The Huawei Convert to Dual SIM procedure is used to enable a smartphone that originally supports only a single SIM card to function with two SIM cards simultaneously, effectively transforming it into a dual-SIM device. Dual SIM capability allows you to use two different mobile network connections at the same time, which can be beneficial in several ways

Using the Unlock/Relock procedure on Huawei devices, you can unlock the bootloader, allowing you to install custom ROMs, third-party firmware, or root your device. However, if you need to return the device to its original factory state, such as for warranty reasons, you can relock the bootloader to restore its default settings.

* This function is intended for restoring the phone's original IMEI only. Before continuing, please make sure that repairing the IMEI is not prohibited by any law in your country. You are running this procedure on your own responsibility.  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_Mobile_Equipment_Identity
